Works updates

The light rail construction process will involve several stages and work fronts. GoldLinQ will use a combination of communication methods - newspaper advertising, letter box drops and door knocking – including this website to ensure impacted residents, businesses and motorists can prepare, park and move within these key Gold Coast precincts during construction.

To facilitate the construction of the light rail along the western-side of the Gold Coast Highway, GoldLinQ will commence works adjacent to Commodore Drive after Easter in April 2012.

A light rail and pedestrian bridge will be constructed on the western-side of the existing Macintosh Island Bridge North as part of these works.

Construction work will be carried out between 6:30am and 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday. Residents and businesses will be notified in advance of any night work.

A construction site office, lay down area and amenities will be established immediately south of Macintosh Island Bridge North, adjacent to Commodore Drive.
